Jon doesn’t want it. This one is too obvious but it makes sense to not force the job on someone when he has tried to avoid it for so long.Jon didn’t seem too excited about being a Targaryen. Even though he got to ride a dragon and found out that his real name is Aegon, he was never, ever interested in being called Aegon. He wanted to remain Jon. And perhaps Snow. He’s been Jon Snow all his life and being Aegon Targaryen is just not something he wanted to wrap his head around. Taking up the kingship would first require him to take up his name. He seemed least interested in any of it.It would be very hard to explain to all the other lords. Making Jon king would bring in an additional criteria fulfilment to prove his parentage and all that.. and it would just be a hassle more than a factor for unity. Making Jon king would not be well received. The last two Targaryens that the people have seen are Aerys and Daenerys and neither of them left a good taste in the mouth of the people
